Intro

Hello everybody, and welcome to Episode 50 of Your Bravo Career.

Yes 50 Episodes!

I can’t quite believe that I’ve reached my 50th Podcast episode!

It has been less than 2 years since I launched your Bravo Career as a podcast, and I really didn’t know how it was going to pan out; I was a first-time podcaster and I did wonder whether anybody would listen, and if they did whether they would like what they heard.

Would I have any listeners at all…?

Fast-forward almost 2 year and I have to say the Podcast journey has been incredible – with 1,000s of plays so far, with listeners from all over the world.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has listened along to my podcast episodes – it really means a lot to know that the work I’m doing is helping and people are still listening.

And many thanks to those listeners who have been so kind as to leave me a review on Apple Podcasts, or who have sent me messages. Your kind words and support really mean so much to me.

My podcasts have been either solo episodes, just me talking, or episodes where I have interviewed a guests.

So, I want to say a big thanks to each of my guests who have joined me on the show.

And, in this episode, I’m briefly going to recap on those guest appearances.

In case you missed any interviews, and to signpost you to some helpful interviews and resources.

Here are the guests that have joined me over the last 2 years.

-       May Beth Hazeldine was my first guest, and she has been a guest twice on the show – In her first appearance she talked about her journey from working on Wall Street in NY to owning her own restaurant in Spain and later running her own coaching and training business. (Episode 3). Mary Beth also appears in Episode 40 with Paul Smith talking about the Metaverse.

-       Richard Williams is one of the wisest people I know and regularly produces his own content on leadership and business development. Richard joined me in (Episode 7).

-       Kate Trafford – has also been on the show twice. Kate has just published her first book. I was lucky to see an early addition of the book and I can tell you it’s brilliant. The book is called Get There, Love Here!: The busy professional's guide to authentic, enjoyable success. When Kate came on the show again in January of this year, we talked about how to make a great impression in your first 100 days of a new job. (Episodes 11 and 32)

-       Mr LinkedIn – Mark Williams – Who has his own amazing podcast by the way joined me on the podcast and shared with us his excellent LinkedIn strategies. Mark came on the show in May 2021 and that was Episode 13.

-       Fiction writer Chris Wood joined me in Episode 16, talking about working as a writer and a day trader. How he makes that work, what’s good and what are some of the challenges.

-       Sarah Brooks has twice been on the show. The last time was Episode 46 where she talked about career development and provided advice on how to effectively manage your career. I have done a few workshops with Sarah so I can recommend following her on LinkedIn as well.

-       In Episode 20 Chris Delaney came on the show to talk about his new book and about Interview Success Tips.

-       Beth Pipe joined me back in August 2021, in Episode 21, and we talked about mental health and dealing with mental health challenges

-       Peter Sylvester joined me in Episode 22, and

-       Anouska Taylor came on the show last October to talk about how to use voice more effectively and how to become a more confident speaker. That was Episode 25.

-       In Episode 26 I teamed up with Suzy Hunt and Lisa Robyn Wood who have their own podcast – The Coaching Cast – and we did a BravoCast mash up. Well worth checking out. As I say, Episode 26.

-       Mohammed Kasajee came on the podcast last November and we did a show about succeeding with job applications, interview preparation and interviews skills. That was Episode 27.

-       John Dawson came on the podcast to talk about how to give presentations if you are terrified of speaking in public. That was a very popular episode and Episode Number 29.

-       Lucy Hargreaves and I talked about dealing with mental health issues in the workplace, that was Episode No 34.

-       And when Inbal Rahav joined me from Tel Aviv she talked about how to start your own business, what the essential things to do are. That was Episode No 37.

-       In April Sonja Price joined me from Seattle and she talked about career strategy, why it’s important to have one, and how you should create your own career strategy. A vital episode and No 39.

-       Paul Smith joined me twice, sort of. He appeared with Mary Beth Hazeldine to talk about the Metaverse in May (Episode No 40), and I also featured his 100 innovations podcast on the show.

-       Finally, last week Courtney Kirschbaum joined me for Episode No 49. Courtney talked about how to decide what’s next in your mid-career.

I’ve learned so much over the course of the last 2 years from my guests and and I know many people around the world have also benefitted from these discussions.

So, again, a big thank you to all my guests who have joined me

and again, to you the audience for joining me in this podcasting adventure.

Please, I would love it if you could continue with me on this journey.

And feel free to message me if you have any specific areas you would like me to focus on.

Or if you just wanted to say hi.

I appreciate you being there.

That’s all I wanted to say today.

It’s 50 episodes, 2 years and going strong!
