Bravo Coaching/FREE 30 Minute Coaching Discovery Call

Discovery Call

Arrange a 30 minute discovery call to see how coaching can help you gain clarity and confidence to move ahead in the next stage of your career.

Why we get 'stuck' in our career ...

Are you stuck in your thinking about your career? Stuck in a job you no longer love? Stuck working on things that no longer excite you? Maybe you're stuck looking for a new job or career? I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about. It can be frustrating to think that exciting career possibilities, enjoyable roles or just new opportunities are passing you by.

What this means for you

Numerous studies have linked unhappiness at work with unhappiness in life. If you are not enjoying your job you are more likely to suffer with mental health challenges, have lower confidence and self-worth and feel lower overall motivation.
But it doesn't have to be this way ...

A simple solution to getting unstuck

Career coaching provides a way for you to get unstuck and deeply explore your career options, discover a job that excites you and matches who you are to the life you want to lead.

The Career Coaching process will give you the clarity and confidence to move ahead in the next stage of your career leading to a more satisfying, meaningful and enjoyable working life.

As a qualified coach and licensed career coach I specialise in empowering people to transform their careers and reconnect with their purpose and passion.

FAQs

What happens in career coaching?

Most career coaches work one to one with clients either face to face (currently not an option) or via video or telephone. Each session lasts about 60 - 90 minutes.
Career coaches can also provide career transformation packages for clients (I offer a 5-session intensive coaching programme) designed to help people to make powerful changes in their career.

There are usually four phases to the process:
Exploring– understanding your situation and exploring your current reality
Clarifying– looking at your skills, experience, values and aspirations
Visioning– designing your future together
Implementing– putting a plan together, including those resources you will need along the way, to support you to achieve your vision

Do I really need Career Coaching?

We know that career coaches help people to make powerful changes in their career but are they suitable for everybody?

For example, can you manage your own career challenges? The answer is yes, however you would need good skills in self-reflection and evaluating options as well as having an opportunity mindset and being able to communicate well.

What about getting some help from a friend or family member? Again this will depend on:

  1. How much time they can give you
  2. Their ability and skills to coach
  3. Whether they have the knowledge to help you progress in the areas you’re working on

If you are stuck in your career and are unable to either work through the issues yourself or find a support partner, then investing in some time with a really good professional coach could pay real dividends.

How can career coaching help me?

Coaching is about Gap Analysis, helping you to close the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
Coaching is also about unlocking your potential to maximise your performance.
How can coaching support you?

  • Helping you understand your existing situation better – sometimes you can’t see the woods for the trees
  • Supporting you to get really clear on what you want at work
  • Assisting you to create a practical action plan to achieve your goals
  • Helping you to look at your career options and to discover a job that excites you and matches life you want to lead.

Can you be too old to change career?

There’s a common misconception that by a certain age you should have your career sorted. This probably harks back to the day when most people had one career lasting 40 years. Many people now have multiple careers.

It doesn’t matter what your age; career change will always be an option for you. So if at 30, 40, 50 or 60 you’re worried that you may be too old to change career, think again.

You can change your career at any age. Permit yourself to follow what you feel is right for you regardless of your age.

What if I like my job but I’m not currently enjoying it?

Great question. Working with a career coach doesn’t always mean changing jobs or careers. We can stop enjoying our jobs for many reasons and many of these can be resolved by working through the issues, making adjustments to the role and bringing a renewed freshness and energy to the workplace.

Sometimes it takes somebody independent and skilled in career coaching to help you to get back your Va Va Voom!

Is 30 minutes enough time?

30 minutes is normally enough time to meet each other, discuss how coaching works and briefly discuss your career and current situation. If needs be, this time can be extended.😀

Where does the meeting take place?

We meet over video (Zoom, Teams etc) or by phone and you can book a slot directly in my calendar to match your own availability.

What questions should I ask you?

I have created a Buyer’s Guide to Coaching and this is available in the Pre-coaching call resources section, above. Suggested questions are included in the guide.

Are our conversations confidential?

Absolutely and as a member of the Association for Coaching I am committed to promoting excellence in coaching as set out in the Global Code of Ethics.
