· What the challenges are for future leaders
· How to deal with some of the internal challenges that show up in your leadership journey, and
· Why public speaking is a crucial skill in the workplace and what steps we can take to feel confident in front of an audience.
I think you are going to love this interview, so sit back and enjoy the content, and I will be back again at the end to wrap up the episode.
So,
Let’s meet Kate Trafford …
So, there you have my discussion with Kate Trafford. So much great content and I particularly enjoyed how Kate described the importance of thinking big picture when it comes to your career.
As Kate said, a great career sits at the heart of a great life.
And the importance of thinking, imagining, dreaming about that life you want and visualising what it could look like … and, and this is the vital point I think, letting your work be a contribution and a key part of that great life …
And for many, that may seem a stretch. Maybe your job isn’t enjoyable and doesn’t contribute to your ideal life. Perhaps your job serves to provide you with income but doesn’t give you meaning and enjoyment.
If that’s the case, where do you start?
As Kate says, start big picture, what could your life look like? How could a career support, enhance and embody this life, this vision?
Great stuff, and one of the reasons that I love helping people to love their job and have a great career. That job and that career can sit at the heart of a great life.
