And, that just leaves the Career Take Away

Career CTA – your call to action

Your call to action today is to:

·       Spend some time today thinking about how you learn best. We heard from Beth today about the importance of aligning how you learn with your personality.

For example, one model of learning styles is called the VARK model, which stands for visual, aural/auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic. In brief:

·       Visual (spacial) learners learn best by seeing
·       Auditory (aural) learners learn best by hearing
·       Reading/writing learners learn best by reading and writing
·       Kinaesthetic (physical) learners learn best by moving and doing

Also,

·  How can you make learning fun?
·  How can you be more receptive to learning and growing by tuning into examples of those that have gone before you. You heard Beth and I talking about Scott and Shackleton. Who can you learn from?

Finally,

·  Who can you reach out to that will help you with your learning and development? For example, do you have an opportunity to connect with a mentor?

So, go do that reflection and get started to today.
