Podcast Show Notes - Episode No 26

Today’s episode is going to be a little different. Listen in to my collaboration with Suzy and Lisa,
over at the Coaching Cast podcast

Where we talk all about how to manage your career, overcoming your fear of change and how to make a career leap.

Hello and a very warm welcome to Episode No 26 of ‘Your Bravo Career’

My name is Mark Crossfield, I’m a Professional Career Coach helping you to love your job and build a great career.

This podcast is about why your career matters

How you can enjoy what you are doing day each day at work
and how to build a great career along the way.

So, as I said at the start,

I recently teamed up with Suzy Hunt and Lisa Robyn Wood who are the hosts of a wonderful podcast called The Coaching Cast.

They invited me into their podcast den, and we re-branded the episode as The Bravo Cast – a lovely mash up of the 2 podcast names,

And we plunged into all things careers.

The episode is longer than usual, because we cover so much content

and we share our personal experiences of career change.

There is a listener question and the infamous bullshit bingo.

This was great fun to make with Suzy and Lisa and I think you are going to love the episode.

So, here it is, catch you later …

I Loved that episode and, as you heard, I ended up talking on the show about my career decisions and how I ended up leaving my job in civil engineering to work as a career coach.

Sometimes it’s only through reflection after the event that we can draw the meanings from things.

I hope you found the episode interesting and valuable as well.

Let me know what you thought of the show and what you learned from my conversation with Suzy and Lisa.

Here are the top tips from the show:

1.    Treat your career change as a mini project, create a plan and set aside adequate time to get moving.
2.    Use the powerful questions – What if? And How? To explore your options
3.    Build your network to support your career leap
4.    Be patient, career change sometimes takes a while
5.    Whatever change you make remember nothing is fixed, if it doesn’t work out you can always change again

And, that just leaves your Career CTA – your call to action

Your CTA is to set up your own mini project to get started with your career change.
